Geelong will take a mixture of the old and the new into it’s round one NAB Cup clashes with Fremantle and West Coast.

Whilst veterans Corey Enright, Joel Corey, Jimmy Bartel and Steve Johnson will all pull on the boots on Saturday night, new comers Josh Caddy, Brad Hartman, Jackson Thurlow and Jared Rivers will play there first official games in the blue and white.

Former elite runner and now Cats rookie, Mark Blicavs, will get his chance to impress fans after coming to the club midway through last season. He played a handful of VFL games for the Cats in 2012.

Other rookies Ryan Bathie, Cam Eardley, Jackson Sheringham and Josh Walker will all be given the chance to impress and potentially put their hands up for a elevation to the senior list on the back of Dawson Simpson and Jed Bews’ long term injuries.

The Cats will take on West Coast beginning at 4.40pm before playing Fremantle straight after at 5.45pm. Both games will be shown on Fox Footy.
