Cats TV asked Tom Lonergan and journalist Scott Gullan if they thought it would be wise to change the Cats' current team going into the final series?

Lonergan isn’t sure what the Cats' 22 will look like going into the final term and believes senior coach Chris Scott has plenty of time until he has to make his decision.

There are still eight rounds of footy to go and the Cats' main focus at this stage of the season is to make sure their performance continues to improve before the finals hit.

“I suppose he’s got to look at the long-term picture and there is still a far bit of the season to go,” Lonergan said.

“I think going forward we’ve still got to play the same consistent football that we have been over the last couple of weeks.”

This week Gullan feels Scott has the opportunity to rest some of the older guys and believes he should take it. He feels the younger players should make up the list against Melbourne, which will allow them to hold their feet and perform.

“The kids need to play against Melbourne because it will be good for their confidence.”
