Vardy back for Cats
Geelong has welcomed ruckman Nathan Vardy back into the side to take on Fremantle.
Exciting ruck/forward Nathan Vardy returns to replace Trent West who has been omitted.
Vardy missed the Cats clash with Brisbane with a knock to his pelvis suffered in round 22.
Paul Chapman will celebrate his 250th game for the club in the match.
The Cats will hope to replicate their round 14 performance against Fremantle when they defeated the West Australian side by 41 points. From that game the Cats lose Dawson Simpson, Jesse Stringer, Jordan Murdoch, Josh Hunt and Cameron Guthrie. Those who didn't play but will this week are Vardy, Jared Rivers, Chapman, Steve Johnson and Travis Varcoe.
Fremantle announced late on Thursday that star defender Michael Johnson would miss with a calf complaint but fellow defender Luke McPharlin would play despite missing the last 10 weeks.
