Geelong has welcomed back Mathew Stokes into its side to take on North Melbourne on Friday night at Simonds Stadium.

Stokes who missed the Cats clash with Fremantle after copping a one match suspension will be joined by Jesse Stringer who will play his first game for 2014.

Stringer has played 15 games for the Cats since debuting in 2012 averaging 11 disposals and four tackles a game.

Making way for Stokes and Stringer are Steve Johnson who was handed a one-match suspension by the AFL Match Review Panel and Taylor Hunt who has been omitted.
