This is my first real break since I arrived and on a tour of Boston right now.
There has been so much thrown at us and as I have said before its like drinking from a fire hydrant! Just capturing the important stuff. I am in a group of 8. We are all from different countries, all from different industries and all executives but with different specialisation. I have teammates from US, France, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Croatia, Canada. We have our own section of apartments with a common room and we do all of our assignments in groups. We are just starting to work like a team and each persons strengths and now being used to teach the whole group eg finance experts helping a financial dummy like me.
I am slowly managing to disengage from my work although I am planning to watch the games on AFL live with my international subscription!
I haven't got enough warm clothes as the temperature ranges from minus 1 or 2 to 10 degrees in the afternoon! The food here at Harvard is plentiful and I will need to be very careful otherwise ...humpty dumpty will return! I'm trying to do a fruit/yogurt/coffee breakfast, Soup/salad lunch and high protein dinner. I have not had a slice of bread since I arrived.
Tonight the team are going out to Harvard Square for dinner and I also have dinner planned with our general manager of finance and administration Rob Threlfall and his wife Fiona who are in Boston this weekend so we are going out for dinner tomorrow night.
Let’s hope the current form continues on the field!
Go Cats!
