Last week’s defeat by Collingwood meant the Cats missed out on high votes from senior coach, Nathan Buckley and Chris Scott.

However, Mathew Stokes’ performance slipped him two votes, with 31 touches, along with a career best of 14 contested possessions. Geelong’s defender, Tom Lonergan, followed him with one vote.

Harry Taylor is currently leading Geelong’s vote tally for the AFL coaching association awards, sitting on a total of 23.

Former Geelong star, Gary Ablett, has so far pocketed the most for his outstanding play, with a total of 41 votes, closely followed by Sydney’s young midfielder, Daniel Hannebery on 38.
