RHYS Stanley will play his first game for Geelong during the Easter long weekend, but the coaching staff has not decided whether the former St Kilda big man will line up in the VFL or AFL team.
Stanley's initial pre-season with the Cats was interrupted by a number of leg injuries, which limited his training load prior to Christmas.
However, the 200cm 24-year-old has trained strongly in recent weeks and the club’s medical staff have declared him right to go.
"I'm really aiming to play some form of footy this weekend," Stanley told CatsTV.
"Obviously I'd love to get up with the boys and play in the ones, but that's up to the coaching and fitness staff.
"I'm just super-excited to be playing a game of footy."
