Last Time We Met
The Cats faced the Hawks in round 3 this year, celebrating Tom Hawkins’ 350th game in one of the more peculiar Easter Monday clashes in recent history.
Geelong flew out of the blocks with a seven goal opening quarter, the Hawks pegged their way back into the contest, before a six goal third term gave the Cats a handy lead heading into the final break.
The contest was then delayed for nearly an hour due to severe weather, before Geelong remerged from the rooms and closed out a 36-point win.
Hawkins booted four goals in his milestone match, Ollie Henry chipped in with four majors of his own while Tanner Bruhn controlled the midfield with 27 disposals and nine clearances.
