In the build up to the Cats blockbuster clash with Brisbane on Saturday afternoon, we take a look back at some iconic Preliminary Final moments in Geelong Football Club history.

The fifth and final moment in the series comes from the Cats 2020 Preliminary Final against Brisbane, featuring a terrific play from Gary Rohan under immense pressure.

The Cats started the game sprightly, registering eight of the first 10 scoring shots but inaccurate kicking meant the lead only sat at 11-points midway through the second quarter.

At a tense moment in the match, Geelong were able to win an important stoppage at centre wing with Patrick Dangerfield launching the footy to the the Cats 50 metre arc.

The ensuing contest saw the ball hit the turf, Gary Rohan gathering it nicely at ground level and making a break away from Brandon Starcevich out towards the boundary line.

Rohan decided to take a shot, curling the ball around his body from nearly 50 meters out, somehow getting enough distance and accuracy to send the footy through the big sticks.
