2014 Trade Period

Geelong were involved in a number of draft pick swaps and a three-club trade in 2014, but the most notable acquisition was Rhys Stanley. 

Stanley has played 152 games for the Cats over 10 seasons, becoming a Premiership ruckman in 2022.

2015 Trade Period

One of the more memorable trade periods in Geelong Football Club history, 2015 saw Patrick Dangerfield arrive at GMHBA Stadium. 

Over nine seasons Dangerfield has played 183 games, becoming a Premiership player and a Brownlow Medallist among a number of other accolades. 

Lachie Henderson (89 games) and Zac Smith (50 games) also commenced serviceable stints at the Club.

One very familiar name returned home in 2017, with Gary Ablett Junior traded back to Geelong from the Gold Coast.

In his second stint with the Cats the Little Master played 55 games, making the 2019 All-Australian squad and helping Geelong reach the 2020 Grand Final.
