The Eagles fell to Fremantle by 23 points in their most recent outing, only managing one goal for the contest despite recording more inside 50 entries than the Dockers.

Putting Pressure on Charlotte Thomas
Charlotte Thomas has built an impressive 2024 campaign, developing into one of the competition’s best intercept defenders with a real strength in one on one contests.
Thomas ranks number one in the competition for rebound 50’s this year, while also sitting seventh for intercept possessions and 29th for total disposals.
The Eagles star has also been in 13 defensive one-on-one contests this season, only losing one of those contests.
The Midfield Drivers
The Eagles are led by a strong trio through the middle with Ella Roberts, Alison Drennan and Isabella Lewis forming a strong partnership in 2024.
Roberts and Drennan both rank in the AFLW's top 20 for contested possessions and disposals this year, Drennan also ranked 16th in the league for clearances.
Lewis has had an impressive season in her own right, averaging 19 disposals and four tackles per game, rounding out the strong Waalitj Marawar midfield.
The Contested Game
Despite falling to the Dockers last week, the Eagles still came out on top in the contested possession game (+17).
This was led by Roberts (14), Drennan (14) and Lewis (13) who all pose a threat around stoppage situations.
Geelong have been strong around the contest in recent weeks, an impressive part of their win over Brisbane last week.
