Geelong has traded midfielder Josh Caddy to Richmond on the final day of the 2016 NAB Trade Period.
Caddy, who was traded to the Cats from Gold Coast in 2012, was traded along with pick 56 for Richmond’s picks 24 and 64.
“It’s a bit of a funny feeling, it was something I didn’t see coming a couple of weeks ago.” Caddy told NAB Trade Radio.
“It was a tough decision.
“You’ve got to weigh up where you’ll get the best out of yourselves as a player.
“I’m so grateful for my four years at Geelong. I got to play finals and play with some superstars and legends of the club.”
Caddy was contracted until the end of 2018 and has now signed a four year deal with the Tigers.
Geelong’s picks currently in the 2016 national draft are 24, 38, 42, 64, 74, 91
More to come.
