Enright hopes for more success
Corey Enright refuses to put a date on his retirement and looks forward to more success with the Cats.
Five-times All Australian Corey Enright told Channel Nine that he plans to keep playing until the body says it’s time to step aside.
Enright, who is about to embark on his 14th AFL season, admits that he’d like to experience more success with the Cats before hanging up the boots.
“You play footy to have success and we were lucky enough to enjoy some of that and hopefully before my time is out we can have some more,” Enright said.
At this stage, retirement is not on the cards for the three-time premiership player.
“I think it’s just silly to put a number on it. I’m a pretty honest sort of guy I’ll know when my time is up and I won’t be going any longer.
However, Enright has started to plan for his next career move once his time on the field is up.
“A few of my mates have gone into coaching and obviously we’ve got some fantastic coaches at our footy club, so just using all those people and tapping into them and making sure I get as much knowledge from them as I can - so I’m ready to go,” Enright explained.
Until then, Enright will focus on playing footy and spending time with his wife Renee and their son Boh.
“It’s very enjoyable and very rewarding as well - so there are similarities in what you do and get from footy.”
