Johnson accepted the match review panel's one week suspension on Tuesday morning.
The penalty was impacted by Johnson's bad record at the tribunal that has seen him suspended five times in the past 30 games. Johnson missed the Cats first game against North Melbourne last year through injury.
The Cats will however welcome back Mathew Stokes who has served his one match suspension from round seven.
