Ahead of Sunday’s clash between the Cats and the Tigers James Kelly and Scott Gullan discuss where the game needs to be won on Argue the Toss.

The Cats according to Kelly won’t be taking Sunday’s game lightly despite Richmond’s poor start to the season. Instead the Cats are preparing to meet a hungry pack of Tigers who are on the hunt for their third win.

“I think we have to consolidate the start to the year that we’ve had, games like this are always risky, Richmond have been copping it in the media all week and whenever that usually happens the team comes out in the first quarter really firing,” Kelly told Cats TV.

“So we’ve got to be ready for that and absorb the pressure and play really well… and making sure we go into the bye still with some momentum.”

Gullan believes Richmond could be on the brink of a transformation that could trouble the Cats, especially if their Vice Captain resurfaces for the battle this Sunday.

“The problem for Geelong is that at one stage it’s going to turn if Brett Deledio comes back, he’s the key, suddenly they have no run without him but if he plays they’ll be more dangerous,” Gullan explains.

“The thing with Richmond is that last year they killed Hawthorn they ran, moved the footy and they looked great, that hasn’t happened yet but it could.”
