Stand out performance
Allen Christensen may have been without a goal but his work on Saturday night deserved 10 votes
Last weekend’s 41 point win over Fremantle saw young Allen Christensen step up the pace with a career best of 36 disposals.
Senior coaches, Chris Scott and Ross Lyon, believed Christensen’s groundwork was outstanding, giving him 10 votes in the AFL Coaches Association vote count.
Normally the small forward plays a major role in kicking goals, however, this time it was his hunger for the ball that was impossible to miss.
His defensive pressure towards the Dockers was a real stand out, taking 17 contested possessions and six tackles.
Christensen has a total of 22 votes and Harry Taylor has taken the lead with 29.
