Monday young Cats fan, Col Pearse, visited the club and was lucky enough to meet some of his idols. Nine-year-old Col will be running through the banner with the Cats at the MCG on Saturday night.

The once in a lifetime opportunity has been made possible by the Cats’ elite partner, nib health funds, and their charitable organisation, nib foundation.

After losing his foot in a lawn mower accident seven years ago, Col will run out onto the MCG in front of an expected crowd of more than 80,000.  Col’s passion for his beloved Cats is hard to miss after recently receiving a new prosthetic leg that carries the club’s famous navy and white hoops.

In preparation for his appearance on Saturday night, Col and his family travelled to Simonds Stadium, met Joel Selwood and Josh Hunt and received a guided tour of the Cats inner sanctum.
