Ruck/forward Nathan Vardy has been traded to the West Coast Eagles in exchange for pick 72 in the 2016 national draft.
The 25-year-old was drafted in 2009 and went on to play 25 games for Geelong and kicked 25 goals across seven seasons.
Vardy indicated his desire to continue his career with the Eagles via the trade period and both clubs faciliated a deal beneficial for all parties.
