The Geelong Cats Chief Executive Brian Cook has congratulated the club’s General Manager of People and Culture, Rosie King on securing the position of CEO of Netball Victoria.
Since joining the club in September 2010, Rosie has made a sizeable contribution to the club’s success.
Rosie became the first female to hold a CEO role in the AFL after she was appointed acting CEO on multiple occasions.
During her time at the club Rosie undertook the AFL Executive Leadership Program, attended the Harvard Executive Leadership Program and was awarded the 2015 AFL Graeme Samuel Scholarship.
Rosie has led a range of whole club initiatives including the club’s Reconciliation Action Plan and has worked to strengthen the club’s culture to one that is now a benchmark in the AFL industry.
“We are obviously proud that Rosie has been able to secure this position but at the same time, disappointed to lose her knowledge and expertise,” Geelong Cats Chief Executive Brian Cook said.
“Rosie has long held an ambition of becoming a CEO and as a club we are thrilled she has been able to achieve her goal.”
Rosie will take up her new position at Netball Victoria at the end of August.
